The Encounter Bikeway, starting at Goolwa the Encounter Bikeway takes you along pristine coastline linking the heritage towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton with Victor Harbor. The total distance of the Encounter Bikeway is 31 kilometres one way and is a mixture of on-road and shared pathway.  If  hiking is more your thing, you can also choose from three self-guided walks around Goolwa’s Heritage trails that includes the Wharf Precinct walk to discover historical sites along the Wharf and Railway precinct.

Pack a picnic lunch and visit Ingalalla Falls, it’s only a short walk to reach the rockpools and waterfalls or alternatively, visit the picturesque Hindmarsh Falls .

Another pretty picnic spot can be found at the Myponga Reservoir Reserve offering a 3.3km trail suitable for walking, running and cycling. This is a perfect spot for families to spend a day full of activities.

For the more adventurous, plan a longer hike along a section of the Heysen Trail to discover stunning coastal scenery on more challenging trails.
